Background of Milwaukee God Squad
Milwaukee God Squad was started with one man’s vision, which was inspired by God not only to spread the gospel but also to improve, the way of life for community families in the inner city. In 2001 David D. King setup S.W.E.E.P INC which setup justice center in Milwaukee.
Each justice center has within itself a job placement component, and has teamed up with local merchants such as TCF Bank, WHEDA and Milwaukee Police Department Districts our efforts for this collaboration is to enhance the communities from the inside out, meaning that there has to be an inner change mentally before there can be a change outside. SWEEP started out with one Community Justice Center through Win-A-Soul Ministries on June 21, 2001 and out of S.W.E.E.P was birth Milwaukee God Squad INC.
Mission Statement
Milwaukee God Squad is organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes. Out goal shall be met by it's taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, specifically through following methods:
- Street evangelism
- Community events
- Training and job placement
- Housing initiatives
- Economic development
- Feeding the hungry (Food Pantries)
- Spirituality Counseling
- Youth Ministries
- After school tutoring programs
- Alcohol and drug abuse programs
